Connecticut workers engage in career planning amidst the Coronavirus

Career Counseling Connecticut has received numerous calls in the last week that start with something like: “This crisis has given me a chance to think. I realize I don’t like my work or my career…”

When I was a federal prosecutor, there were intense periods of work. I had no chance to reflect on my career. But there were also lulls such as when one big case was done and a new one had not yet heated up. I am really thankful that I used those periods to think about my career path. Indeed, if it wasn’t for those periods of reflection, I might not have been prepared to leave the law 20 years ago.

So… you have this time. When things go back to normal — and things will – how will you feel about career? Your job? Your work?
