Kevin finally came in for career coaching after two years of urging from his wife.  Kevin describes himself as frugal.  “Actually, I’m pretty cheap.”   He’s also cynical.  He doesn’t trust almost anything or anyone immediately.   By happenstance, one of Kevin’s friends came to Career Counseling Connecticut.  Since he had a recommendation, he now at least listened.  As his friend tells it – since he introduced us – Kevin interrogated him about the process and the results.  When he said “sounds pretty good but was it worth the cost?” the friend reminded Kevin that he hired a coach for an upcoming triathlon.  “What’s more important your career or a race?”

Apparently, that’s the line that immediately shifted Kevin and he called immediately thereafter.
