The collective groan through the Connecticut coast is not merely from students heading back to school but also from their parents heading back to work.
For the minority who like their work, you would likely agree with the following:
(1) Spending quality time with family and friends is better than work
(2) Spending quality time with hobbies/interests that ignite passion is better than work
But
(3) Work is more enjoyable than low quality time with acquaintances (i.e. Labor Day barbeque with somewhat random people)
(4) Work is more enjoyable than low quality time on hobbies/interests (i.e. some TV)
If you don’t feel this way, time to change your career.
