Summer: Career Exploration for college students

Even though Connecticut has some of the best high schools in the nation and Connecticut parents tend to be among the most educated, most students head to college with limited understanding about which career paths might suit them.  Once in college, students make a few decisions – “I’ll major in business” or “I’ll become a nurse” that are often based on what other people suggested and only barely connected to real objective evidence of what would fit them.  Now that summer is around the corner, consider career exploration to be job 1 for your 17-22 year children.
