Career Counseling Connecticut has a mission to lead our clients to career happiness and success.

Regarding the latter (seeking success), I assure my clients that I am not in the business of creating more starving artists. I note that point because I have seen too many therapists masquerading as career advisors who tell their clients to “follow their passion”. Later, I meet some of these folks who are bemoaning that their homemade jewelry business is barely providing money for groceries.

But…. my actual background stems from the former (seeking happiness) as I had been a big city lawyer in Washington, DC who then followed a quixotic path to become an education-entrepreneur (see The Learning Consultants).

As such, my natural inclination is to help those suffering in corporate America to reconfigure their careers to reflect better work-life balance and work that is more authentic to who they are as opposed to work that simply pays the bills.

The pandemic for all its tragedies has had some positive effectives. Reflecting on the meaning of life is perhaps the biggest one. There are record number of “quitters” who are leaving their jobs. Thoughts of heading back to cubicle nation are not sitting well with many who have discovered the joys of not commuting, not having face time, not dealing with office busy bodies, and not having a boss in one’s face.

There is a better way. We can help.
