“I guess that’s what I hate this job.” Sarah said. She was a recent client. But I’ve heard that phrase a dozen times as we review results of personality profiling with a career counseling client.

Whether we know ourselves well or not is an abstract and broad based question that cannot be answered with any quantifiable data.

But Career Counseling Connecticut can answer the following: do people know themselves well enough to choose careers/jobs that suit them?

Research any study on worker happiness/engagement and the answer is clear: some large percentage of people have chosen the wrong career path.

In a free country, this shouldn’t make sense. We are free to pursue anything we want. Sure, we can eliminate passions that require extreme talent/luck of the genes such as music and sports as not part of that equation. But the vast majority of careers are not unobtainable for most.

Why we get it wrong is a subject of another post. How to correct it is the subject of this post. Get expert interpretation of your career personality and get expert guidance to explain the results.
