With hope, most of Career Counseling Connecticut’s readers are starting to enjoy a long holiday.

Some of my Christmas cards are from past clients who came to Career Counseling Connecticut feeling miserable about their careers and now feel good-great.

After reading this article, Google “Sunday anxiety” and you may be surprised by the sheer volume of articles addressing work dread.  I remember mine vividly.  I was a happily married, young father.  But my weekends immersed in domestic bliss would be interrupted -in my mind – by the Sunday blues.  Like most, these started creeping in during the afternoon and I’d start to feel anxious around dinner time.

This will occur for many at the end of this holiday break.

Flash forward…I can’t recall the last time having the Sunday blues or post-holiday feel of anxiety.

That’s because I made a dramatic move to change my career from attorney to educator-counselor.  This path “fit” me.  I’m sure it could go the other way with some shifting to “attorney” from other professions.

2025 is a new year.  Why continue with the Sunday blues?

I’m now old enough to look back and thank my younger self for certain decisions.  Career change fundamentally elevated my life for the better.

It would be wonderful if I could help you do the same.
