Like many Americans, you may have made resolutions to eat better, exercise more, and to…finally… change your job.
And if you are like most Americans, you started the year strong and then right now are feeling the first signs of slowing down. Here’s what likey happened: as Christmas-New Year’s week gave you some space to recharge, you got fired up.
You dug in on Jan. 2. Maybe redid your resume, sent in a few job applications, adjusted your Linkedin profile and then… nothing happened. And that felt deflating. So as the end of last week approached, you slowed down.
Well, you can restart at any time.
I’m reading a Daniel Pink book, When. He discussed how people change. “Restarting” is equally as effective as starting. So, for example, those who got fired up about career change in January but have not done much recently can decide to restart tomorrow.
